Welcoming guests with a row of flaming torches and sitting outdoors eating surrounded by torches are old traditions in Denmark. The idea behind the Torch is to extend this tradition into the future by combining classic materials and modern, Scandinavian design. In 2001 the Cone Torch was awarded the Formland Prize. The torch is designed for all sorts of outdoors use. It is pointed at the base so it can be inserted straight into the grass, sand or snow. The accompanying rubber strap also makes it easy to hang torches around your terrace, in the garden or on the balcony – attached to walls, fences and trees.
